Businesses that kick in money toward Minnesota road projects they want built will see them done faster under a cost-sharing deal with the state transportation agency. For example: United Health group will put $5 million into an $18 million interchange reconstruction near the insurance company's Minnetonka campus. The cost-sharing concept isn't new, and Governor Pawlenty disputed that it would allow deep-pocketed interests to buy their way up priority lists. He said the arrangements will aid commercial development that will benefit the state economy.
