The MSU College Access Program is gaining more steam in its discrimination case against the school.Student members from the organization called a meeting last night with civil rights leaders from Minneapolis.36 of the 154 CAP members are still facing financial problems, and some are now losing their meal plans. That 's something members say MSU President Richard Davenport said wouldn't happen at their last meeting October 2nd.After Thursday's meeting they're optimistic.CAP member Tamiyah Lewis says, "We know that we have community behind us. We're getting more and more community supports every day, so we're going to hit this thing hard and have him held up to his word."CAP support advisor Sang Yang says, "Students saw that they can depend on the community leaders and will be here to support them. Getting whatever they need to help them out with financial aid and all of their bills."November 10th is sign-up for spring semester classes, so civil right leaders say they will have to make sure the issue is figured out before then.
