Tech savvy customers flocked to Verizon Wireless this morning as the company launched its new product...The Droid.The Droid is the new smartphone by Motorola that offers free navigation, voice - activated search and access to thousands of applications.The Verizon Wireless store on Madison opened early for the big release and the rush of customers has kept them busy.Verizon Store Manager Jesse Guggisberg says, "We had quite a rush right away at 8:00 in the morning. We've had quite a few customers in to check out the new phone and see what the hype is about."The store has six demo areas set up for customers who are interested to come in and check it out.
