A St. Paul, Minnesota soldier is among those who were killed... and another soldier with Minnesota ties is wounded in the Fort Hood massacre.Army Specialist Kham Xiong was at Fort Hood, preparing for a deployment in Iraq around New Year's.He was among 13 people killed in the rampage.Family members say Xiong was in line for a physical when the shooting broke out.Xiong's father is upset none of the soldiers, including his son, was armed.Chor through interpreter: "The sad part is that he had be taught and trained to protect and to fight, yet it's a tragedy he did not have an opportunity to protect himself at the base."Meanwhile, a soldier formerly from the Kansas City area was shot and wounded, but is reportedly doing well.21-year-old reservist Keara ((key-AIR-ah)) Bono Torkelson was shot in the back of the shoulder.She recently married an Otsego, Minnesota man.According to family, she was on the phone with her husband when the shootings began; she's been released from the hospital.
