Arsonist Caught With His Pants On Fire

In state news:Police say an arsonist was pretty easy to target... after they found him running away with his pants on fire.Northfield Police say Mark Cole set his home on fire then went to City Hall where he parked between a minivan and two cars and started another fire.The heat from that fire damaged other vehicles and the City Hall building...By chance a Rice County officer was heading to the fire and spotted Cole running from around the building.Deputy Chief Chuck Walerius says, "Just happened to catch him running on the side of the city hall building here with his pants on fire. So intercepted him and took him into custody."Police don't have a motive, but they say it may just be he was down on his luck and going through a tough time.They say Cole is going through a divorce and is unemployed.Cole is in custody with charges pending.
