Lawmakers To Closer Look At Health Plan Compromise

Minnesota legislative panels are taking a closer look this week at a compromise that will preserve a government health plan for the very poor.Democratic lawmakers and republican Governor Tim Pawlenty struck a deal last week to maintain coverage for more than 30,000 adults covered by the general assistance medical care program.Health and welfare spending panels in both houses are expected to take public testimony and consider the details and finances of the deal in the coming days.
