Amid Healthcare Reform Concerns Obama Delays Overseas Trip

President Obama makes changes in his travel schedule so he can focus on healthcare reform.The president has said the time for talking is done and it's time to vote.Democrats are still working to get enough yes votes to pass the overhaul and tensions over differences in the legislation are on the rise.Fox news correspondent Craig Boswell has the latest from Washington.President Obama delayed his trip to Indonesia and Australia for three days to focus on swaying undecided democrats to cast a yes vote on healthcare reform in the house.Gibbs says: "I think the President believes that he can make a very strong case for why this important to do right now."After a meeting with democrats, house speaker Nancy Pelosi sounded confident about a vote on the overhaul.PelosI says: "I am delighted that the President will be here for the passage of the bill. It's going be historic."House democrats need 216 votes to pass the senate's version of the legislation and then wait for promised changes to be made by the senate.Pelosi says: "It will take a little faith but what we do always does."About a dozen moderate democrats are insisting on changes in abortion language-- others remain unsure of the entire process of reconciliation which is how the senate is promising to make the changes.Weiner says: "We're trying to figure out way to pre-bake this as best we can, get everyone on same page, but at end of day members of the house are being asked to trust an untrustworthy body."Republican leaders remain opposed-- and say they're not alone.Cantor says: "I know right now the speaker does not have the votes. And I know the President and the Speaker are going to go about the next several days trying to convince their members to vote on a bill that the American people have rejected."President Obama travels to Ohio Monday for a healthcare rally-- his third public healthcare event in a week.Democrats are also expected to begin the first steps in the reconciliation process Monday.
